Located either near Saint Pancras train station, either near Chancery Lane, the food tastes good and the recipes are original. However, you should consider to  pop ahead, because it is really busy. The Chancrey Lane branch is my favourite by far, because it is easier to spott, it is smaller...

Near Baker Street tube station, this very unformal Italian coffee shop is pleasant because you can order your customized plate and it will cost you nothing, comparing the amount of ingredients ! Very handy to know, when you are broken.

This posh place is located in Central London, next to Covent Garden. The waiters are checking regularly when you are having your meal, that you are not missing of any of the different kinds of bread that they provide.

Even if one of the main rules I followed when I lived in London was to banish to go out in the chains, especially when your French friends are requesting for it, you can't avoid to go out at least for once, in one of the many branches of this French chain. I came on Westbourne Grove many times, because when you are French abroad indeed, sometimes you want to feel like "at home" between French people, or you want to impress your branded new English friends. So here you are, if you never tried before the Poilâne bread, so famous, especially in Paris.
